Lusogolf Fundraising Incorporation was established by a group of Luso-Canadian descendants to raise funds and encourage Luso-Canadian children to pursue post-secondary education.

Lusogolf’s priority is to offer BURSARIES & SCHOLARSHIPS to deserving Luso-Canadian students with financial needs wanting to pursue a higher education. Lusogolf also provides “Awards and Financial Incentives” to organizations that assist the needs of the community.

Lusogolf is very grateful to all the sponsors and players for their generous contributions which have helped to achieve its goals. Through the years, Lusogolf was able to disburse over ONE MILLION dollars in bursaries, scholarships and donations to help the Portuguese-Speaking Canadian community.

In 2023 it was netted $65,000.00 and from the proceeds of the golf event, LUSOGOLF distributed a total of $54,250.00 as follow:

LUSOGOLF GOLF EVENT

Golf Event Rules:

◊ All players taking part in the Lusogolf Event will score each hole up to a maximum of DOUBLE Par plus two and follow all Event/Golf Course Rules.

◊ Scoring system “NET” will be the CALLAWAY HANDICAP SCORING SYSTEM, fully administered by Lusogolf’s Event Rules Committee.

◊ The Callaway Method applies a one time handicap that’s actually based upon a player’s score for the event, when formal and established handicaps are simply unavailable. Golf event players will be assigned their respective foursomes by the Event Rules/Handicap Committee.

◊ The Lusogolf Event will be playing according to all RCGA rules, with the exception of the course rules to be issued on the day of the tournament.

Memorial Cup Trophy Winner:

The scores will be calculated using the HIDDEN HOLE SCORING FORMAT - The Lusogolf’s Rules Committee selects 3 holes from each Nine, eliminating a par: 3, 4 and 5.

These holes are only known to the Scoring Committee and the scores from these 3 holes, will be removed from the gross scores to determine each player net score.
